I finally managed to start a page.  It's not much yet, but I will be adding better photographs and text in the future.  I'm just having fun learning the user interface and playing around.

For a second there, I almost thought it was a photo of my tent. Those Panthers all look the same. :) Here's what ours looks like:

Thank you.  As everyone here knows, it's a constant work in progress.

I do love our Panther pavilion.  It's our second Panther as we purchased a smaller one B.C. (before children).  The tent is 12'*12' at the eaves and flares to 14'*14' at the base.  There's enough room for our queen size four-post bed, arming chest, toilet, "ladies' necessities table", small hanging rod closet and two single mattresses for the kids.  Most modern stuff fits in Rubbermaid bins and hides under our bed.

A member of our group has the exact same tent as Sir Edward.  You can almost hold a fighter's practice in that thing!  Sir Edward, can you share more photographs or plans for your shower?  Our group added one last year, but we just erected canvas walls.  Your shower looks much cooler. 8)

Did I read that right?  Queen size four-poster bed?  What do you use to carry all of that around?  I'm assuming it isn't in a baggage wain!  lol

It knocks down easily to four posts, two side boards, two end boards, slats and a deflated air mattress.  It doesn't take up much room in the bed of the truck as everything else stacks on top of it (first thing in, last thing out).  I purchased everything at a big box home improvement store including the post finials.

Unfortunately I don't have plans or better photos for the shower. It was built by the coordinators for our camp. I do know it used a wooden palette for the floor, and they lined the inside of the walls with fake tile (linoleum?). If you're going to Pennsic this year, I'm sure they'd be happy to show it to you (we've only made it out there a couple of times).  It's Blood Moon Clan, just down the hill to the west from the solar showers. The camp is right at the first intersection of the roads going that direction.

Yeah, ours is a 12x15 Panther, and it fits us very comfortably. We didn't build a bed frame, and my little truck wouldn't have the extra room... but we do bring a small table, several tubs and a foot-locker. We hang up a large tapestry as a room-divider so that half the tent is the "bedroom" and the other is a more guest-friendly living space.

Thank you for the compliments on my kit, though I’ll probably never be completely satisfied.  Keeping in the spirit of Sir Wolf’s checklists, I’ve created my own 14th century kit list:

Finished: Never!

Have:
Arming clothes (period shoes, joined hose, gambeson / arming coat, pourpoint, surcoat, padded coif)
Bascinet with interchangeable visors (houndskull & barred)
Greathelm
Butted mail (hauberk & aventail & sleeves & skirt & standard/collar)
Spaulders
Couters with rondels
Vambraces
Gauntlets (clamshell & Wisby style legal for SCA)
Coat of plates
Globose breastplate
Splinted cuisses
Poleyns
Schynbalds
Sabatons
Longsword - blunted
Poleaxe
Quillon dagger
Shield – not historically accurate

Needed:
WMA perforated steel visor for bascinet
Riveted mail
Proper hourglass finger gauntlets (currently under construction in my shop)
Roundel dagger
Linen arming clothes (bought the linen today!)
Proper shield – historically accurate
Full leg harness – late 14th century spring steel
Full arm harness – late 14th century spring steel
Longsword - sharp
Etc., etc. etc.

I started mine as well but I am unsure of where to begin. I am kinda writing it as if I was there back then.

I gotta get a Panther!  Me and my kids will be the envy of all at the next Cub Scout camp out! :)
