Wow, 95? Heh.

Well, maybe I need to be planning on armor as well then. :)

I'll be in full kit regardless of the weather, altho, the hotter it is, the less time I'll spend in it.  :)

I've gone in armor at GARF around the 98 - 100 heat index and it was brutal. I know I can do it but I would rather not. If it's too hot then I'll go with the armor light option like on the last day of VARF. ;)

That was a good look for you, Sir Brian.  Looked like a Ranger you did.

I'll be in my early 14th century Teutonic Knight kit.
I'll wear it no matter what the weather. If I can do the plate, the maille will be nothing  ;)

So is there a good time, or place in the faire? For us to meet up? It's a bit bigger than VARF

Believe it or not, the plate's not nearly as energy-sapping as mail is.  Of course, I don't wear full plate so that might make a difference.

From my experience, theyre right about the same in energy sapping.
I was speaking of the heat, which is much worse in plate.

Several of us typically hangout around the White Hart tavern. Even if we don't stay together as a group we'll frequently return there.  ;)

I wish I could come down now that I got my really cool plate armor and buff coat. It really is a shame that PaRF and MdRF overlap. In any case, those of you going enjoy.

We can arrange times and places, trade cell phone numbers, etc. But as Sir Brian pointed out, that area inside or next to the White Hart (facing the food booths) is sort of our default meeting area. People in our circles of friends pass through there frequently and often hang out around there.

I think we should trade cell phone numbers anyway...it only makes sense should one of us get lost trying to find the others.  I know, not likely to happen but it may help with coordination, if not that day, one day.

I'm fine with that, wanna do it by PM, or in the order section of the forum?

Either way. Order section is probably fine, since it's non-public.

Well we are a week away from opening day and I have several concerns vexing me.  :-\

1.) With all the new changes going on at MDRF this year I am concerned those of us with the 'Maryland Special' swords may not be allowed to have them.  :(

2.) Although VARF was very gracious to our order I am not as confident of MDRF being so, thus I do not intend to bring any of the ‘Honorary Page’ certificates for the kids. I do not think MDRF will be as accommodating.  :-\

3.) The weather forecast thus far looks promising for both days so I will be wearing full armor on Saturday at least and perhaps armor ‘light’ on Sunday.

4.) I’m hoping I will get my newest surcoat in time to wear with my great helm on Saturday, if it isn’t ready then I’ll have to go with the bascinet which needs cleaning and will need to be added to my ‘TO DO’ list for this week that is already pretty full with yard work (if it ever stops raining), sword practice, a final surcoat fitting and thrice daily wound cleaning for one of my ‘feral’ cats makes for a very hectic week!  :o
