Yep, I usually set it up a few nights before halloween, and it takes about 2 to 3 hours (3 this time) to do it. It depends a lot on the weather reports. It's not all rain proof.

The ghost is made of fabric that glows under black lights, and is motorized to float up and down. It's really cool. :)

Well, I went to a Halloween party on Saturday that had a Monty Python theme. I managed to snag a surcoat of the black knight online just in time. Check it out:

The flamberge really is taller than me, but the angle of the shot makes the disparity look even bigger. Heh, it makes me look short. :)

Looka the size of that thing...!  That must've been ultra, to go to a Python-themed party.  Glad I met you guys...for the longest time, I've always been the weirdo of any group.  :)

I armor up in a slightly evil version of my own medieval persona. I usually put a bit of makeup on along with eyeliner to have a creepy effect similar to Kurgan from Highlander. In fact I love halloween the atmosphere of it and the fact I can dress how I normally do without turning heads everywhere is kinda nice.

Now THAT is a flamberge! Wow!

Is that a second great helm? I don't see the brass, unless it's the shadow over it or something. Neat costume.

Yeah, that's my older great helm. I used to wear that one before buying the one with the brass occularia. It's not quite black, but sort of a very dark grey.

The flamberge is 6'3". :)

I got one of the best costume awards at the party. My prize was a plush Holy Hand-Grenade. :)

Big James (the other one, not James Anderson) does it big, no pun intended, on Hallow's Eve as well, Sir Edward.  I'd say his presentation may even rival your own...he was showing us a skeleton he was making...considering materials used, it is surprisingly life like.

Yeah he does a pretty wild display. I haven't had a chance to see it in person yet, but he doesn't live that far away from me. Might have to go over and check it out.

That looks great Sir Ed.
If we are invited to a party I usually make the effort to dress up using a splash of armour to spice up my dark lord type costume lol

Three years ago I went as a Viking; last year and this year I am going as a zombie, this year I have better makeup.

Here is my haunt so far; everything will not be out until Saturday: http://s728.photobucket.com/albums/ww284/Flonzy/Halloween2011/Graveyard/Day6/
