Greetings from Denmark
« on: 2015-04-07, 20:17:54 »
Greetings to you sirs....

My name is Kim (and in Denmark its a male name), and I am an old geezer born in `63...

I have allways been interested in history, especially the medieval period. Allways enjoyed to visit the many mansions and castles we have here in Denmark.
I just started last year to participate in medieval fairs, so I am not quite finished with my kits yet. Its very close though, and in a couple of weeks when my new tent arrive, me and my friend/fellow knight Sir Smith, will get some pics taken.

We have a small combat group (still only the two of us) called In Genio et Armis, where we fight SCA style, not LARP, and not BOTN....

For now I`ll show you a couple of pics, where you can see parts of my kits. Just tonight my new surcoat were actually finished (no pics yet), in my livery.....

well, for now these will have to do  :)

In my living room  ;D

In my kitchen  ;D

And at the throne at Nyborg Castle in Denmark. A castle from the late 12th century

Well met Kim!

Welcome Sir Sondergaard,

There are geezers here older than yourself!
I had a wonderful one day visit to Denmark a couple of years ago. I hope to return and spend more time there.

Yes Sir James, I feel blessed living in a country with so much history, reaching back so far...

In my neck of the woods we have mine shafts from the Comstock Silver Rush & the California Gold Rush of the 19th century that sometimes eat tourists & the unwary. Does that count?   ;D
