I should start a school club that takes these trips for demos and things like that. Educate them. Teach them chivalry.

So, I've found a place that has smaller scale helmets for children.

Unfortunately they are plastic/resin, and not steel - but I might pick up one or two to go along with the armor. Kids always want to wear a helmet!

Well on the AA a fiberglass armorer does some great 14th century stuff and should be able to make it for kid size. Check out the thread:

Weight - I'll get back to you. Maybe 25-30 pounds, as a guess.

Helmet, haven't bought it yet but saw it on Amazon UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s?ie=UTF8&field-keywords=Knightware&index=toys-uk&search-type=ss

$20 and less for a helmet is not bad at all!

Really wasn't to tough to build. I'd already done fingered gauntlets for a kid that age ( Amy at Albion's nephew ) http://merctailor.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoid=190797857 so did these pieces in the same size.

Thanks again for making it Allan! I'll have a decent camera this weekend to get some more photos for you. I haven't got around to the strap ends, but it's on my to do list.

It looked a little bare on the stand, so, matching schynbalds are on their way too.
