This is the new Revival under Scott Adkins out of Milwaukee Wisconsin.  In the SCA Scott is known as Sir Murdoch McArthur and is a Knight of the Kingdom of Northshield.  I have fought him, spoken with him, purchased from him, and found him to be honorable.

He has a tough row to hoe trying to overcome the damage caused from the previous owner (the nameless one).

That's true, but the book itself is from Chivalry Bookshelf (publisher), which is still the nameless one. However, what we don't know, is how many copies of the book Revival.us had in-stock, versus restocking currently.

I concur Scott does have a tough uphill battle and Sir Edward is also correct in that battle being tougher since there still remains that residual link to the (nameless one) hence my apprehension about doing business with Scott. But all is well that ends well when he apparently is has the only stock left and as Sir Edward stated his stock quantities are unknown so if anyone is in need of this book you might want to snap it up whilst you can!  ;)

Going on the wish list...thought I was getting Medieval Art of Sword & Shield but it appeared the guy didn't update his inventory so I got a refund instead.  :(

That happen to you as well?! The only other place I know that has them is regrettably
Chivalry Bookshelf. :(

http://revival.us/medievalswordandshield.aspx

I just took a shower after I made my purchase and vanquished a few dozen bandits in Mount & Blade to make myself feel better about buying from him.   :-\

LOL

Yes, it did- and I was pretty bummed about it because as you know, I am quite interested in this field of study.

As an aside, I've done business with Scott Adkins before w/no issues or complaints.  I'm also not sure what, if any proceeds the nameless one gets for sales of his tomes.

You can find the book on amazon too!

That must have been a recent update because a few weeks ago there wasn't any available for a reasonable price. Very odd that!  ???

Most excellent! I have tapered off a bit as I'm dividing my reading time between this one, the I:33 and dagger manuals but it is engaging! :)

Sir Brian I completely understand....I too have put Geoffroi de Charny`s book down and not picked it up again for a while (must dig it out of my work bag)
Well I will patiently await a report when you have completed it, before I decide weather to purchase it for myself  ;)

Romance is doing something for your partner that embraces who they are and what you know about them, instead of the cliche - so, yes, a book on Deed of Arms is probably about as romantically intimate as it gets for medieval people. :D
