Medieval Life by Paul Lacroix

I picked this up at Half Priced Books over the weekend. It's a thick, monster of a book that was originally written in the 19th century. I've only read bits and pieces so far; it's dated, obviously, but it doesn't seem like it's terribly off the mark, especially for a Victorian-era work.

Anybody heard of it/have it/read it? ??? Apparently, it's also available free online at places like Project Gutenburg.

So a Norman, a Saxon, and a Viking walk into England....

I haven't heard of that book, but the author's name is familiar. I had to google it, but I've either seen or have another book of his: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/803263.Medieval_Warrior
