Looking to make a new outfit that doesnt make me regret it after 6 hours lol.
Basically im looking for just clothes

Specificly im looking for a "man skirt", from waist to feet, covering feet or not. Saw a man at the fair and was talking to him, i really liked his look with the skirt, couldnt find the vendor he was pointing me to though for it. Anyone know where i could find some?

wha? i know of no such beast in period.  persians and men of the middle east worn long tunics that went to their feet, but no skirts. esp a knight of europe.

Sounds like he might've been wearing a warkilt or skirt?  Leg, go for a long tunic or surcoat and just wear a shorter shirt over it to get that look.

There are a variety of good looking long-tunics that hang toward the ankles.

Check out The Hooded Hare: http://thehoodedhare.com/tunics.htm

And Revival Clothing:  http://www.revivalclothing.com/newcolors12th-13thcenturymenssilksupertunic.aspx

Those are some examples.

I finally got around to ordering a more period ‘soft kit’. These should be shipped pretty soon as the braies were backordered 2-3 weeks. I still have to dye them black.  ;)

Nice! Did you get a liripipe hood to go with it, or just the tunic?

I'm thinking of ordering two pairs of chausses (linen) in two colors, and braies. The other thing I want is the long 12th/13th under-tunic, but for whatever reason they only seem to have large in stock. I have three of the tunics from Hooded Hare, but don't have the undertunic to go with them.

Nope, no hat for me. :)

Cool! Just so long as you stay away from the green tunic and gold chauses combination then we'll be fine! ;)

Thats one option haha.
Looked into tunic and surcoats, looks as if its just a different style of tabbard. Im looking for an un-armored suit, clothing only

Sounds like a great kilt to me. I have one, more trouble than they are worth and not period until after the 16th century according to an article in Renaissance magazine a couple months back.

Sir Brian, are those chausses padded?  Where'd you order them from?  I need to work on getting my under clothing to period spec.

Sir William I ordered those chausses from revival clothing and they are not padded. I made my padded under armor chausses about four years ago. They are fairly easy to make. You just need some quilted fabric and a soft cotton fabric for the inner liner. I added some leather tabs and leather padded knee chaff guards. It all took about four hours start to finish.  ;)
