I'm trying to decide if I want that A&A muster Poleaxe, and now this... heh

I'd be tempted to get one of the cotton gambesons to use with my 14th C. kit, and those arming caps are pretty thick and add some good padding if you need to tighten up an otherwise loose-fitting helmet.

Sir Nathan swears by their arming cotte and it appears to do the job well for him.

Their pourpoint is outstanding as well for support of a leg harness.  Far superior in comfort and function to a belt.

I had their pourpoint before, and it worked well until the un-reinforced points tore out ... and then I shrank it in the wash, but that's no fault of theirs. If I hadn't done so, I'd still be using it. It was more comfortable than the ArmourArchive "Pitbull C Belt", too. I've found that belt to be comfortable while standing, but horrible when sitting down; it digs into the thighs relentlessly, until you squirm enough that it digs into your lower back, and is beyond uncomfortable. However, if you just run around and don't need to sit, it's good. The pourpoint is better in every situation, except for price.

I've got their arming cotte too, and so far the "wearing some armor around the house" tests have been great. I reinforced all the arming points, and put eyelets for the laces, but otherwise it's as it came out of the box.

After Sir Wolf helped me reinforce the points on the pourpoint, it's been great. Before that, I was ripping out the points just by test-wearing the armor around the house.

The arming cotte works great as well, but I also needed to add new points since the default ones weren't in ideal locations for my armor (not their fault). The down-side to the cotte is that it's a softer linen. Anywhere the armor rubs, it will wear through pretty quickly, and you may be sewing patches onto it. I've been using thin leather to sew over the holes, and the leather takes the friction a lot better. So it's not completely maintenance free. But it certainly fits and moves well, and will hold up your armor. After attaching my voiders, I've discovered I can't really wash it. The voiders are also technically too big (I didn't cut them down enough), so it restricts my mobility a little. I need to rethink this a bit.

I believe I am the proud owner of said pourpoint; I have to reinforce the eyelet holes but you had informed me that overall it was a sturdy garment and it certainly appears so.  I'm going to refer to your excellent instructions...hopefully before the MDRF starts.  Ideally, before VARF but I might be moving during that time...God willing.

Indeed, that is the one. If you get the Historic Enterprises leather tabs here (http://historicenterprises.com/arming-doublet-point-reinforces-leather-p-1298.html?cPath=101_135), get 4, and they will match up with the holes in the pourpoint. You won't need to reinforce the eyelets if you use the leather tabs to support and distribute the weight, they're only $1 each, and well worth it. I had them on that pourpoint before moving them to my arming coat.

At that price get a few extra ones as I did! I've used them at an arming point with my gambeson for my leather 3/4 arms.

Thank you, brothers...this should be relatively trouble free.  I think I'm one of those knights who would be an absolute terror to serve, if only because I'd be so dependent upon them.  I would not, however, use their face as a point of leverage while unsheating a really large sword, unlike our esteemed and illustrious Knight Commander over there.
