Greetings to my fellow knights from the trail
« on: 2011-11-08, 12:35:52 »
Its been a fairly long season for me- starting back in April and it looks like I may have finished in a hot and dry land known as Texas. You may all have noticed my absence through most of the year, I have been traveling far and often. I will tell you that the faires vary as greatly as the people, but as knights we will find welcome in all.

These faires are each unique in their own way, and there are still many I hope to visit. I have been a welcome guest at several, invited as a guest into a few acts and even been a rider in a joust in California. Its been quite a year. I sadly only made it to MDRF one day, and then only for a few hours, but spent most of September at PA, it was just unfortunate that I missed any of you.

In my travels I have found out that we are a rare breed, very rare with our code as it is. I think we need to each promote "Modern Chivalry" a bit more obviously. Truly I am thinking of adding it to a cloke or surcoat. There are very few knights out there, many mercenaries and soldiers, but fewer true knights, I am not sure if that makes me sad or gladdens me that we at least are there, without us my brothers the world would be a lesser place.

So for the off season, I will be at it again making another kit- I have some new ideas that I am itching to try- thinking lighter and more articulated.

Indeed...we await your tales, Stormdelver.  It has been too long.

Welcome back. :) Always good to see a faire that lets a knight have his sword.
