"It wasn't the reward that mattered or the recognition you might harvest. It was your depth of commitment, your quality of service, the product of your devotion -- these were the things that counted in a life. When you gave purely, the honor came in the giving, and that was honor enough."

i heard Sir Edward's Meyer is called thumb splitter ;)

Ah, but mine hasn't split anyone's thumbs. So far I have a pretty good track record of not injuring people.

That lady should probably consider naming her children after the cities they were conceived in.  LOL

I can't imagine a son named "Bathroom Floor" and a daughter named "Kitchen Table."

No Sir Edward should name his new Meyer:
Schmiererei blau = Blue Graffiti  :P

Well there is always the more descriptive: Broken Rubber!  :D

Sir Ed should name his old Meyer "Split"  ;)

How about the name "Oops" for a child?

Don't know about my swords but my Warhammer is "Head Splitter". Sensible because contact with it will cause you a splitting headache. :)

I probably posted this earlier, but my sword's name is Von Gottesmund.

I was thinking the same name. Particularly for a broken trainer. But then, "broken" is also a good name in that case. :)

When I find some time, I still plan to re-grind my broken Meyer into a serviceable one-hander. It's a very period thing to do.

Broken is a better name for some knights who slip on the hilt (ahem Sir Brian)  :o Keep your guard up!! LOL

Here are two photos of my sword 'Golgotha', hanging on my metallic gray walls. Apologies if the symbolism offends anyone. I am a crusader, after all.  :)

Thanks. During the the earthquake two of my swords fell off the wall. I decided to use a closed hanger after that.  ;)
