Anyone handle one of these or seen any reviews on them?

Huh, it looks like a blunt version of their "bastard sword". I'm curious how it handles too.

I can tell you...it is rather flexible; I thought it'd be more rigid, and the edge is quite thick but no, it flexes quite a bit.  I won't go so far as to call it 'floppy' but it does exhibit quite a bit of flex in motion but it is also pretty handy, having a PoB at or around 3.5-4" from the cross.  I actually traded mine as part of a venture for that scabbard made for me by Slayer...that and some cash.

It is solidly built, rough peen on the pommel, wood grip with the basic leather wrap; plastic scabbard wrapped in leather which seems to suit it well.  I liked it, but wasn't in love w/it- at that price tho, you can hardly go wrong.

Ah thanks for the insight Sir William! I was kicking around the idea of getting one of them if my hopes and plans fall through about getting an Albion Meyer in the couple of months, although I haven't ruled out an A&A Fechterspiel if I can find someone who has one and is willing to let me handle it.  :-\

Actually you did get to see my A&A fechterspiel down at VARF. That was the other sword I had with the Albion Meyer.

Doh! That's right I did and thought it was a bit blade heavy! Woohoo I can conclusively say I want the Albion Meyer! Thanks for reminding me Sir Edward! :)

If I ever buy a two-hander I want the Albion Duke which is like this one here. :)

But for a working blunt I'm looking at the Hanwei Tinker 9th Century Viking Sword - Blunt

Yeah that's a beauty at a sweet price to! I like the Tinker blunts. I have the longsword and its handles exceptionally well. :)

Sir Edward, which sword did you knight us with?  I was asked on another forum and couldn't remember...was it the Landgraf?

Ah ha, thought it was but wasn't ultimately sure...thanks for that!  So, you will go with the Meyer, Sir Brian?  I have to go back and look for it...I recall the name but do not recall what it looks like (other than the obvious sword characteristics).  :)

Yes the Meyer is shall be, now if what my wife wants to get doesn't cost too much I'll hopefully have enough left over from my performance bonus to buy one!  ;)

Take lots of pics if you do!  My wife wanted to go to California and visit a vineyard...check and check!  And I got some new armor in...not pic-ready just yet.  Still need a leather punch...wouldn't you know it, I cannot find a hardware store in my immediate vicinity...and by that I mean I haven't noticed one driving around.  lol
