I don't think that would be to difficult to replicate and it certainly does look medieval-ish for faire! :)

I've always liked the leather pants from Ravenswood Leather but haven't been able to convince myself to invest in the cost however I see they are offering Cavalier trousers now at a fairly reasonable price... ;)

They are reasonably priced, very durable and comfortable. I'm on my second pair as I wore the
other pair down a bit. I still keep the old pair for pirate garb and I've since modified my new pair
by sewing some washers on the sole to lace my sabbatons onto.  ;)
