:)

i've played it. i just can't get into it very much. maybe its the kids or the lack of time. it looked fun. maybe if i had more time.  even my Battlefield 2142 is kinda boring.

Excellent. I was wondering when a new version would be out! It'll probably have to wait a bit, since I'm back in World of Warcraft currently. Heh :)

But I have it downloading as I type... and the description makes it sound like it's a vast overhaul. I'm looking forward to playing the new version.

I finally got a chance to sit down and play it a bit. The changes are really great! I love the fact that it puts your chosen banner on the shields now, not to mention some of the surcoats. Lots of new heroes to hire, and you can capture enemy lords or choose to let them go. Various graphical improvements, more detail for the characters, and more...

Unfortunately it's also less stable. I've had it lock up a couple of times. At other times there are random temporary freezes, even in the map view.

Yeah they've already put two bug fix patches out, they are up to V.952 now.

I just updated yesterday. They added the feature of multiple saves now.  :)

Wait till the module system gets released. Then you'll start seeing mods enhancing the cool factor of M&B tenfold.

Also, Sir Brian, aren't you Jericho from the Taleworlds forums? I recognize your armour and your crest. :)

I'm Agent Griff at the Taleworlds forums.

QFT Sir Griff!
The module system is the best part of Mount & Blade. Some seriously talented people making
some really fun and highly developed mods for the game.

Yes I am Jericho on the Taleworlds Forum! Welcome to the forum and my other favorite haunt and
thank you for noticing my armor and crest!  :)

And regarding M&B, version .953 just got released. The module system release is getting closer and closer, now.

Oh, and it would be pretty hard not to recognize your surcoat, or for that matter your helmet and your crest. I really like all three.

Your kitchen is also pretty recognizable. :P

I DO have to update that picture with a more appropriate background.

My new riveted maille is on the way, I just might have to put my stuff on and
get a new picture of myself in front of the Medieval Times castle in the early
morning hours.  ;)

Being from Romania, you must be near some excellent castles yes?

I was stationed in Germany back in the 80's and loved going on castle tours.

Well, there a few castles that I know of, but very little are in good condition. The nearest castle, judging from the city in which I live, is currently about 150 kilometres away. There are some really nice castles in Romania, the most famous of which would be Castle Bran, which most westerners consider to be Dracula's abode (couldn't be more false) and another quite famous one is Castle Peleş, which is one of the haunts of the Romanian Royal Family. There would also be Hunedoara Castle in South-Western Transylvania and several other castles in Moldavia.

So yeah, there are a few castles in Romania. :)
