"It wasn't the reward that mattered or the recognition you might harvest. It was your depth of commitment, your quality of service, the product of your devotion -- these were the things that counted in a life. When you gave purely, the honor came in the giving, and that was honor enough."

Figures! Car repairs are going to be $1321.04!  :o

Still, I SHOULD take advantage of the sale and get those finger shields I've been eye-balling...  ;)

Yeah, those do look good. I threw a pair into the order I placed yesterday. I decided to get a set of these:

Yeah, you'd have to start a whole second kit around them. That would be such a shame. :)

The Wisby's would be closer your period though. The battle of Visby/Wisby (however you're suppose to spell it!) was in 1361. I don't think I can get away with them for my 14th C kit, but yours would be closer. Still would be the most advanced piece of armor in the kit though.

Visby/Wisby (however you're suppose to spell it!)

I just have to say... lol... Apparently I've unconsciously started mispronouncing this (thanks Bill!), so I'm probably going to start spelling it with a "V" from now on to get my brain reprogrammed back to the correct pronunciation. This, sadly, is a case where I knew better!
