He's had a number of those for at least a year or more. Only 1 or 2 pages of them are new, I think just the ones after the MercTailor / Allan ones.

It's a toss-up on "period" with them. The newer ones are cast, whereas Allan hand-makes his and the "D" style buckle is period, as well as the steel mounting plate. So one is more ornate, copied off period styles directly but cast, and the other is hand-made and based on period styles.

I'm a fan of both, and I have both styles. :)
