We had a pretty good Thanksgiving over here. With friends and family, and including ourselves, it was a dinner for 10 (in my tiny little house). That's probably the limit for how many we can fit in here.
The turkey took a lot longer to cook than planned... something like 4.5 hours. The roaster appears to not reach the temperatures you select on the dial. We're going to have to test it with a thermometer at some point. Also, the bird still had some ice in the center despite thawing since Saturday. We were really surprised. It wasn't frozen anywhere, just still contained a little ice in the middle.
My brother-in-law brought his new longsword from
SaberSmith for a little show-and-tell. It's not an Albion of course, but as renfaire sword-smiths go, this was actually pretty nice. It was balanced and yet still had some serious blade presence.
And of course several of us geeked out and talked about Guild Wars 2.
