The Judicial Combat of Jarnac and Châtaigneraye - France, 1547

This article is quite interesting in that it gives an account of what the Judicial Due was in the Renaissance.  This duel is unique in that it took place in France and the weapons used in this duel were sideswords and rotella shields.  Still it is an intriguing tale.
