I typically wear either an 11.5 wide or a 12 wide. The size 12 in the laced 14th C boot fit just right with just enough room for a foot gel pad which I'll add later.  ;)

I wear a size 10 dress shoe / sneaker / boot and ordered a 10 from Frank with great results.

I wear a 12 normally, ordered a 12, and looks like it'll fit just fine with enough room for an insole.

Perfect timing, I was just thinking it's time to do some foot wear. I'm thinking laced for armor, buckled for soft kit - plus for the armor, I'll be poking holes to point the armor at the toes, and they'd look silly in soft kit with unused holes at my toes, so I'll need two pair.

Soft kit - http://www.vikingleathercrafts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=42_67&products_id=375 (Triple Buckled 14th Century Ankle Boot - Black)
Armor (under sabatons / chausses) - http://www.vikingleathercrafts.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=42_53&products_id=245 (14th Century Medieval Styled Laced Ankle Boot - Black)

I want to get them with a small 'heel' so I can wear spurs and/or strap the chausses underneath, rather than a flat sole. I emailed to see what they say, but since it's a limited time sale and I'm not sure if I'll hear back in time, if anyone knows if it's possible and/or what the extra cost is, please let me know.

Well they wore well yesterday but I was missing some the arch support at the end of the day as my feet had become a bit fatigued. Still they sell the insoles with arch support and those should resolve that minor issue.  :)

Yeah, I hadn't gotten around to adding the insoles to mine yet either, which I need to tighten up the shoe more than anything (slightly narrow feet compared to the length). Otherwise they worked admirably. I'm tempted to order a second pair, in brown, so I can have more than one color option.

I wear a 9 1/2 but figured with the gel insert, a 10 ought to do nicely; can't wait for it to get here!

At $45 on sale, could you make it for that much cheaper than the cost of materials? I know exactly how you feel, except, I lack constructive abilities higher than a 3rd grade level.

Sir James is exaggerating...he has plenty of skill, just based on the weapons and other stuff that he's built that I've seen.  Maybe not leatherworking...but yea, he's got skills.  ;)

I LOVE my 14th century buckled boots (with modern soles) from Viking.  I wear a size 12 Nike shoe and his size 12 fits me perfectly even after adding hidden arch support and points the toes for lacing sabatons.

I recommend his products and customer service.  :)

Sir Wolf...and yet, you do not do it anymore...why not?

I just got notification that my item has shipped...talk about fast!  I was sure I wouldn't be getting any goodies this week!
