So who's planning on heading out to the VA renfaire this season? Which weekends? It opens this weekend.

My love and I will be there on Memorial Day weekend both Saturday (armor day) and Sunday. I believe Sir Andrew and his lovely lady Constance plan to be there that weekend as well.  :)

Rosemary and I are also thinking of doing a day trip on the 23rd but I won't be wearing armor that day.

I may go down on the weekend of the 29th, since that's Memorial weekend. Beyond that, I'm not sure yet. I usually like to get down there twice in a season if I can.

I was really hoping to make it this year, but it's not looking good.  Memorial day weekend was my best bet, but the money situation is tight and Cracker and Rev. Horton Heat are playing a show nearby that Sun. and really want to go.  If things change, I'll post it.  Since I now have a heavy (brigandine) and light (padded) sets of armor, it would be nice to show both down there.

Sir Andrew and our lovely ladies will be there both days. I was going to wear armor on Saturday so I
can have a day of lighter garb before the drive back home Sunday evening.  :)

On a side note:
I noticed that there seems to be less vendors at VARF this year. Will more show up this coming weekend I wonder or has the vender participation dropped off that much for VARF?

Really? I hadn't noticed that the number of vendors had diminished at all. Actually, I was surprised to see three mail booths. Someone mentioned there might have been a fourth too.
