As promised. Allbeststuff mail review.

After a long wait, my hauberk from allbeststuff arrived and it is wonderful. Only one ring fell off, and it does not catch on my Gambeson at all. It is heavier than my butted(that is because it is long sleeved and comes down more halfwy down my thighs).
I haven't done a knife stabbing test yet but That is because I do not want to risk breaking something I know I will not be able to fix. The hauberk
Is nice the customer service was also nice, and the reason it took so log was because they had to actually make it first. So they emailed me that it was ready and said tapered had been noted, all they need were the measurements and then it got here in about a week.
So I will recomend allbeststuff mail to anyone unsure about it.

That looks relatively nice actually, shorter than my hauberk but still I wouldnt mind getting one of these. They also tailored it quite nicely, I have tried allthebeststuff maille on when my friend Elliot came over and it didnt catch on my gambeson either. Thats a good thing honestly, cause I had a really bad experience with flat ring dome riveted maille by GDFB, the wedge stuff I havent had any issues with though. Also that maille looks bingo wing free basically, maybe a little extra but not huge hulking bingo wings like most untailored off the shelf stuff sold by other companies. Had I known about this company I probably would of gotten some.

Ya its hardly baggy. If I raise my arm up the sleeve falls back 1 in.
For the price of 300 inlcuding shipping as appose to 400, Im very glad I bought it from here. Now I think I have cleared up any unshuredness some have had about ordering from here. Other than the month wait for t to be made(but I am glad to know that is what took so long) I will have to order the rest of my mail from there.

Looks good!  If I might make a suggestion for the weight...  In the photo that just shows you with nothing but the hauberk and belt on, I would recommend blousing the hauberk a little more over that belt.  When you put the belt on, raise your arms and then have someone tightly strap you in to the belt at your waist (not where your jeans sit, but closer to your belly button), and then after it's strapped, lower your arms.  This will blouse an inch or two of hauberk over the belt and put the entire lower half of the hauberk's weight on your hips instead of your shoulders.  You will find it to be more comfortable to wear over longer periods of time.

Looks really good Naythan, they did a good job.  One thing; I'd settle your sword belt a bit lower - like just above the hips; it'll make drawing and sheathing the sword less awkward.  There is a picture of me, somewhere, with my sword belt high up and someone caught the shot just as I was trying to get the point in so I could put her in and you can see how awkward it was for me.  But I also have short arms, so ymmv.  lol

I thought belts were supposed to be by the belly button. But I didn't find drawing my blade or sheathing it to be a problem.
To get in contact with them I gave them my email and left tapered in the notes.
They send a confirmation email when you place the order an when it was completed(month later) Nltulin, I think his name was, emailed me and asked for measurements and that tapering had been noted.

Regular belts for your clothing, yes- like a tunic belt for instance, should be at the belly button, but as I've found out just recently, sword belts were supposed to sit just above the hips (or so it would seem in manuscript and period art); I still haven't figured out how to get it to stay there w/out falling all the way off, though.

Oh so that's how its done! I usually just put the belt on with my arms down, but it did not seem to take alot of weight off the shoulders.
