Hand forged Aunlaz dagger
« on: 2014-03-17, 18:35:51 »

Well on the Armor Archive, I saw a guy selling off a bunch of stuff, so I decided to pick this dagger up from him. It's hand forged from a railroad spike and it's a rather nice dagger. Has a handmade worn look to it and quite frankly for only 70 bucks it was a good buy. It's peened as well as sharpened properly without a crappy bevel like my knife has. Probably need to get a sheath for it but this would be period for my century anyway as daggers like this existed since at least the 12th century.

Stab! Stabby stab!!!

That looks like it has a pretty thick blade. I bet you could have some fun with it.

Should test its metal, literally.

I was eyeing that one too.  I’m glad you removed the temptation!

I've been seeing them from time to time...Ironbadger, I think.  Wondered how they were...glad you picked one up, Ulrich and that you like it.  It is difficult finding a 13th C style dagger, isn't it?

That dagger is so awesome. I've held it myself, it's pretty darn comfortable to hold and reminds me of one of my nice antique knives in terms of appearance (rustic, weathered appearance but still very functional). I am also a big fan of those antennae.
