thought i'd share some of this.

when takeing your colors of your hearldy(as you were wearing it, not how it is seen to others) and placing them on a flag (horizontally)  turn it 90 degrees clockwise and when it is pointed vertically the colors become top=left/bottom = right

example:


my heraldry has black on top white on bottom.
my surcoat, the left side is black and the right side is white. also, the the colors do not transpose on the back.
my flag would be black on top and white on bottom

That's great! I think this would look quite good for a surcoat and crest. We'll definitely have to investigate some crest designs.

ya :) i was thinking how we used to use the walking sticks all of the time, just attach a flag/gideon etc to that... ooooo period flash ;) bling bling
