Hey all, just wanted to talk about the overall "look and feel" of the forum. The theme (colors, layout, etc) that we're using is one that I downloaded from the SMF website, since I liked the look of it. I had always thought about making a custom one from scratch, but truth be told, I really like this one.
I've gradually made a few minor tweaks since starting the forum, such as making links blue instead of black so that you can actually see them, etc. This weekend I also added an info panel next to the login information (idea borrowed from the <A href="//selohaar.org/">Selohaar</A> forum), changed the brackground in the "news" area so it's not so dark, and tweaked some colors (though I'm not 100% sure I like the grey menu bar better than the golden orange).
I also moved some of the tab-buttons around for posting new threads and the like. My feeling is that "reply" and "new topic" shouldn't be buried in the middle of the list. They should be clear and obvious.
Is there anything else you all would like to see? Any thoughts on what could be done to the layout to make the forum more pretty, easier to use, or more unique to our site?
