The problem for me is usually one of fit; and that is an excellent link- the next issue for me is finding one that is affordable.  I'm kinda leaning toward a barbuta, simply because I like the look but if I'm not mistaken, there's no knightly precedent for their usage, so I'm open to an open-faced bascinet w/aventail perhaps, pun intended.

I've seen one just like this somewhere...I think I saw it in By-the-sword's new catalog of 'battle-ready' helms.  Now I'm not sure because I went back to that site and nothing doing.
