Time for a gorget!

(1/7) > >>

Sir Brian:
I took a pretty hard thrust to my throat last Sunday and the bib on my mask isn’t really padded enough for that. The guy apologized for not asking if I had a gorget or not but it did make it very obvious to me that I need to add a gorget to my equipment.  :-\

I like this guy’s simple dog collar style gorget and think I’ll try making one nearly as nice as what he offers for a bit cheaper price. I made a temporary one out of some scrap tin and leather that should suffice although it won’t win any blue ribbons for looks!  :D

Sir Edward:

Yeah, that does look like it has pretty good coverage. The one I have doesn't come up high enough, I think, but is a lot better than nothing. I have this one:

Man, sorry you took a hard hit. Ouch!

Sir Brian:
I've always liked the look of theirs but they would be too small for my bull neck...which is 19" with the collar of my gambeson.  :-\

or see if allan can make you something more to your detailed neck size

Sir Andrew:
You might want to consider something that protects up underneath the chin as well. It's pretty much a sure bet that shots have a way of deflecting up into the underside of your chin. Throat protection is something I don't mess around with.....
