Sir Gerard I have to Hand Gonnes. One is a mortar type design with bore just of an inch, and the other is a 50 Cal. gonne. They are alot of fun to shoot, more fun than even my matchlock, I think. I grew up around guns, but they were always more practical to me. They were used for hunting or defense. My hand gonnes, matchlock and my newest acquisition an 1861 Springfield Rifle-Musket are adult toys to be used responsibly for fun. Eventually I intend to hunt with my matchlock as well, but until then I enjoy shooting it for fun and to reenact which is also fun for me, if it wasn't I wouldn't do it.
