Wow, that's a shame. I'm glad to hear the frescoes were not damaged. So it sounds like they can probably put it back together.

That is a shame that it occurred, but I wonder at what shame the populace is supposed to feel.

Italian President Giorgio Napolitano said in a press statement: "We should all feel shame for what happened."
