They are easy to make.  I made mine with little more than an antique sewing machine, some half-forgotten tips from a home-ec class they made us take 25 years ago, and operating skills more suited to a bandsaw than a sewing machine!

Yep, I don't even use a pattern. I throw mine together in a few hours, using my previous ones as the template.
