It's a "renn faire level" medieval dinner. Historically based food (which is quite good), historical mead/wine (someone who drinks can elaborate more).

Location is Alexandria VA.

Attire is ... whatever you want to go in. Some people wear mundanes / "normal" clothing. Some in garb. Some in light armor. Haven't been to the new location, but the old location wasn't overly armor friendly logistically; the staff doesn't mind, but the seating was long medieval benches, probably 20 or so people long. Last time, I did garb, I'll probably do the same again.

Well Karl turned out to be a nice guy!

(although I did kind of enjoy owning him in that class, I'm sure he's revised their training and we just might see some real techniques instead of that bastardized Tal Hoffer stuff they were doing!)  ;)

On that note, soft kit sounds more appealing. Is it a 'weapon friendly' medieval/renn fest event?? For garb purposes only.

I'll check with my lady as to whether the date sounds good for her. I think it's fine for me, but I know she has some things coming up somewhere around the end of this month and early next, just not sure of the dates.
