"It wasn't the reward that mattered or the recognition you might harvest. It was your depth of commitment, your quality of service, the product of your devotion -- these were the things that counted in a life. When you gave purely, the honor came in the giving, and that was honor enough."

Scabbard for Albion Poitiers
« on: 2015-04-19, 19:46:31 »
I finally finished the scabbard for my Albion Poitier blade. The buckle, strap end and rampant lion are from Armor & Castings. I made the sheet brass chape.  I enjoyed doing this project.  I have a Albion type X blade that I bought from their recent Moat Sale.  It will become a Viking sword eventually and I'll get to try my had at a 9th century scabbard.  Thanks to Sir Ian and others who were patient with my questions.

Gorgeous Mark!  It's very striking, looking forward to seeing it in person one of these days.

Good choice of colors, I like it. Which kit are you going to be using this one for?

Fantastic! I really like the fittings, but I'm partial to lions. ;)

Great work!

The tooling on the belt and suspension leathers looks professional grade, Mark.  Really nice job!
