"It wasn't the reward that mattered or the recognition you might harvest. It was your depth of commitment, your quality of service, the product of your devotion -- these were the things that counted in a life. When you gave purely, the honor came in the giving, and that was honor enough."

Some photos I was able to access from my wife's laptop. Sporting the Templar attire at Hammond Castle. That was fun!!! :)

Change of plans for me. Looks like I'll be going to PARF this Sunday after all.
Weather looks favorable for armor even. :)

I'm hoping to be at PaRF both days this weekend, but there is a chance I may have the opportunity to some OT, so if that happens I won't be there Saturday. Gots to make the cash to pay for the toys. Weather is looking iffy for Saturday, so I may do a soft kit of some variety, possibly Musketeer. Sunday things are looking better weather wise and a buddy of mine is planning to be there so we may turn out in our Border Reiver kits.

Wow, it's PARF time already? Time flies.... I won't be there this weekend, though. :( I'll be there next weekend.

Hopefully the weather holds out for you guys this weekend, and for me next weekend. It's been such a wet summer so far....

It was confirmed today that I am indeed up for OT Saturday. Can't turn down the cash, so for the first time in 5 years, I shall miss opening day at PaRF. I will be there Sunday, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

if you made the plans for sunday because we were going to go then I am deeply sorry. I should have posted the change sooner

No worries Naythan, Like Matthew I have to work OT on Saturday as well and babysit my granddaughter Saturday night. That is generally how most of my Saturday's go. ;)

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday Matthew! :)

Due to wife's working Saturday, I had to change our travel plans for opening weekend at PARF. Will be attending NYRF instead as it is closer. I will make plans for another PARF weekend. Will be in armor for the fun. I like NYRF much. :)

Sir Brian it will indeed be a great honor to again see you, and since I am a patron spend more time socializing. Perhaps even over one of the fine beers brewed by SBC. I am sorry to be missing what looks to be a fine gathering on Saturday, but as I said gots to make the cash to buys the toys, and OT has been pretty sparse of late. Thanks to a converge of opportune factors, it looks like there is a pretty good chance for more OT next weekend! Back to back OT hasn't happened in months so while it means missing another day of Faire, I am still elated to possibly get the opportunity at more cash. Perhaps our paths shall cross in Maryland, Naythan, I am tentatively going to schedule a trip there the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, but that is very tentative at this point.

I'll be going and bringing both my soft kit and armor. My dad will be with me and he will act as the camera man for us. If it rains I will be in my soft kit if it clears up I will dress in armor. Most likely I will just wear my hauberk coif and madeln helm with my heraldic surcoat and be using my Reeve and possible my shield. I will need to borrow one of you as my squire to help put on some of my stuff.

What is the irony of a squire needing a squire?? :) LOL

This is why I really like my Brigandine. It buckles in the front so I can put it on myself. My Almaine Collar is a little tough, but I can put it on myself as well. My Breast and Back is a lot more challenging without help...
