ya lets get there at 5. john says we can use his room to change etc. i will be in my plate (if it fits) for the entire time. i think they want a lil fighting but you don't need to go all out and this is my boom stick introductions etc , waiting on him to call me back

OK great. So maybe what we might do is just a little bit of light harnessfechten? Kinda explain how it works, and do a few exchanges? But otherwise just look pretty. :)

That will work. I’ll bring my COP as well then. It will be sweet to test out my new waster!

Sir James:
Did I happen to forget my black leather sword frog with your gear from VARF? It’s the one we used for the daggers and has a brass ring.

Yep! It's here in safe keeping, being guarded by a moat, two dragons, and one two-headed dragon. :)

You're welcome. But... I have no idea how to get it out of such a secure location. ;)

about hte ladies, i am unsure how much dinner is but i do know that all 4 of us are covered by john himself. so hmmmm the dinner is part of their fundraiser and i'm pretty sure its not cheap.  i think we are his "representation" of the "Knights of the Blind" cause.

OK, it turns out she IS available, but I might let her know it's not practical for her to tag along.

If she wants to go, I'll skip dinner and she can have mine. It's difficult for me to eat much in full harness anyway. :)

I will likely pass on dinner as well, electing to grab something on the way because in all honesty I have difficulty feeding myself with any semblance of table manners while fully armored and I absolutely REFUSE to allow Sir Wolf the perverse satisfaction and opportunity to ‘feed’ me! :P

I'll eat if possible, I'm just willing to forego it so that Kat can go and have dinner too. I'm good either way.

Okay back to the essentials! Are we bringing armor and weapons for a display or nay? I'll be wearing my Talhoffer and rondel dagger for the escort into the hall. I'll have a change of surcoat, my bascinet, wooden rondel and waster for the harnischfechten. Should I bring a marshal of the list pole for either Sir James/Sir Wolf to referee? Are we bothering with shields for display or just wearing? All of your harnesses are 15th so am I the only 14th century?  ???

I'll be wearing an albion as well, and the nicer surcoat.

For fighting, I'll also have to switch out surcoat, add the windrose helm & the standard, etc. Will wear a shield, but I'm not bringing additional ones.

I'll bring a couple of maces and helms to display (the usual pieces), and my glaive, and that's about it.

No, I'm in 14th as well. I can't move well in my 15th. You won't see me using that kit again any time soon, now that my 14th works.

I've got my arming clothes, shoes, harness, sword, garter, and for show and tell: a buckler, a spaulder, pair of gauntlets, and a vambrace.

Getting directions and heading out shortly.
