No, my work life balance recently tipped towards work for a while so I haven't been doing much else lately. I did get some replies from my AA post about plans for making one, but of all the stands I've seen, none of them really fit what I'm looking for.

A) Something historical, as in documentedly historical
B) Something sturdy and posable.

I guess Mac's insanity stand would qualify but that's like wishing you had the Batmobile.

When I get more time, I'm thinking about a DIY project to make it out of shaped 2x4s.

I've looked at and for armor stands a few years now, and I don't remember ever seeing a historical one. I saw a few mentions that it would traditionally be in a chest, either for storage or transportation.
