"It wasn't the reward that mattered or the recognition you might harvest. It was your depth of commitment, your quality of service, the product of your devotion -- these were the things that counted in a life. When you gave purely, the honor came in the giving, and that was honor enough."

Shortpoint is coming up in about 2 weeks:

It's the smaller, more informal event before Longpoint in the summer.

Awesome!

I just registered and paid so I'm all set, now I just have to purchase some better knee/shin guards! ;)

Well this event was a spectacular success! The turnout far exceeded everyone’s wildest expectations and if they do this again which I’m pretty sure they will then they might want to consider renting the additional gymnasium. Sir Edward, me and a few others just went outside in the parking lot for our duels since it was so crowded inside and it was much cooler too!

As a bonus I was able to check off one of my HEMA Bucket List items when I got a chance to duel Jake Norwood. So now I just have to get an opportunity to duel, Mike Edelson, Bill Grandy, Jessica Finley, Guy Windsor and Christian Tobler! :)

Out of that list, the two I haven't fought yet are Mike and Guy. All of them are great fighters, and you'll have some awesome fights with them when you get the chance.
