How old is modern chivalry?

(1/6) > >>

Sir Nate:
How long has the order of the Marshall been around?
How old is modern chivalry?
How many grandmasters have there been?
Are we, or those in the order to be litteraly considered real day modern knights considering the fist knight orders were just secret groups that would make you a full fledge member by knighting you.
We follow the old morals, should it be considered a real knight order, like the times of old?

Aiden of Oreland:
Well admiting this, not that I know much, but modern chivalry is more of just a place where people, some unkown, chat. Order of the Marshal is the group that modern chivalry can help lead you to if deemed worthy. But to me this does not seem to be an "active" group if you know what I mean, pardon my ignorence, but it doesn't seem like the group that is well known or preforms, or gets out there if you catch my meaning. Not saying they don't get together. But I insist to correct me where I am wrong for learning is the seed for knowledge, and I do like to learn.

Sir Edward:

Modern Chivalry, the forum, was started in January of 2008 (first post is dated Jan 26, 2008).

The Order of the Marshal was founded officially on November 11, 2010.

Sir William:
The first knights of the Order of the Marshal took place June, 2011.  Sir Edward was sworn in as Knight Commander and then smote the shoulders of myself and Sir Brian, dubbing us knights of the Order.  Sirs James and Jason witnessed the oath-taking.
