De Rodes` return from Rhodes
« on: 2013-07-29, 21:35:38 »
Having recently returned from our holiday in Rhodes, I will be catching up once again with this busy forum over the next few days.
I will try and post some photographs of our visit to Rhodes old town for you all soon.

This is awesome, Sir Gerard- can't wait to see the pics!  Any Hospitaller relics or markers?

Sir William, it's everywhere in the medieval old town, especially in the palace of the grand masters and the street of knights.

The monastery at Lalysos..

Wall paintings inside the underground chapel to St George, showing knights protected by their saints.... This was described as 15th century, but I`m sure you will agree that the armor looks earlier

I don't suppose you walked about in harness....?  :)

Great pics by the way...you've got a good camera there.
