Indeed. We dabbled a little bit with that about 1410. Managed to get it out of our systems in time to kick the Poles and Lithuanians back in their place, thank God.

And I won't make any statements on having better toys, just a mention that no one would have to change the dating of their kit at all if they went the Teutonic way...

Though nice toys do tend to come with ruling a powerful sovereign nation, unless the other military orders missed the memo...  ;)

I wouldn't call two armies running into each other ouwitted, even if the spot they collided was more favorable to the other. And besides, we weren't even in command, and the actual Teutonic forces made up a small majority of the whole army. Mostly troublesome Livonian ex-Swordbrethren adventuring on grand schemes to conquer Estonia and plunge the Order into war with Denmark. That campaign was mostly an effort to do something at all with them...
