Lucky, I started making my surcoat and I bought really light linen. (Its really strong but thin.)
Where did you buy your fabric?

This was a custom piece that I commissioned from Badassgarb. It's made of two layers of likely 7.1-oz linen. I would have suggested heavier fabric like that for a surcoat.

That looks good. We tend to overlook hats a lot, but it's really a needed accessory if you want to be complete. Nice.
