King Arthur Helmet
« on: 2012-08-22, 13:33:19 »

Heh, I have a standing auto-search on Ebay for the Monty Python surcoats that MRL put out a number of years back. They were discontinued years ago, and replaced with a costume set instead. So far I have the Black Knight and King Arthur surcoats.

Anyway, here's one of the newer costume sets, but with an actual metal helm + aventail, and it's not that expensive!

lol, I'm actually tempted. But I only "need" the helm, not the rest.

You've got to get it!  It even comes with a coconut!  I'll follow you around at DoK clapping the coconuts together if you dress like like King Arthur. haha

Hah! Yeah, I've done that at the renfaires a few times. I have a set of coconut shells that I sometimes wear with my armor.

Here are some photos where you can see them hanging from my belt:

I remember the first time I saw those- did I ask you about them?  I know I wanted to.  I only saw MP's The Holy Grail but once so I don't remember a lot of it.  You should get it anyway, Sir Edward.  I'm currently watching it.

I'd say get it, then sell the surcoat and coconuts. You could probably get back most of what you pay.

I remember the coconuts at Sir Nathan's and my knighting ceremony. Next year at VARF, when "King Arthur and the Black Knight" duel again, somebody needs to come prancing into the ring to the sound of the coconuts. I'll arrange us a squire to do the coconuts part. :D

I'm more likely to give you $70 for the coconuts than that helmet.  :P
