Lion Crest from Knightly Arts
« on: 2012-07-11, 22:59:48 »
Received my Lion's Head crest from Knightly Arts a few weeks ago, but been slow to get pictures and post them.

And on the helmet:

I still need to make a torse to go along with it, and get some magnets or some way to secure it to the helmet, but I'm really happy with it. He did a great job, and the price is extremely fair. Good stuff!

Excellent and congratulations!
A mantle and torse will look really cool with that crest!

Thanks. It's latex, and very very lightweight.

wow awesome. i worry it would "to big" for any helmet other than the one you have. but wow thats cool.

It is pretty big, but I only plan to wear it with the great helm and mail / transitional stuff. A helmet plume for the later gear will come later.

Excellent and congratulations!

Great minds think alike! Fabric and thread in hand, just need to do some research then get sewing. :)

Or you could always take apart a pillow that has a decent pattern, like this:

Excellent! I'm planning to check JoAnn's on the way home from work to see if I can have it in hand for this weekend, and to look for some braided cord / rope for the torse as well. Thanks for the link! I'll have your pattern back to you soon.
