Chivalry Now, the book
« on: 2010-01-19, 18:50:15 »
Hey all, just a head's up that the "Chivalry Now" book (written by the founder of the Chivalry-Now website at chivalrynow.net) is soon to be released.

Amazon has it here: http://amzn.com/1846942845

Obviously I haven't read it since it isn't out yet. But I figured I'd pass it along anyway in case anyone is interested in pre-ordering. The book is having a small first-printing, so its success will probably be largely dependent on it's short-term sales.

Just in case anyone is interested, the second book is now available.

I haven't read it yet, but my copy should be getting here next week. Dean's approach is to present Chivalry in a modern context, in an attempt to make it accessible and relevant to today's men. The first book talks about the need for chivalry in today's world, and presents a modern code of chivalry based on the "12 trusts", which are very reminiscent of other variations of codes of chivalry, but written toward modern culture.

The second book is written as a sort of handbook for the modern-day knight, from what I hear.
