Neat idea. It allows you to get some sword-related exercise in confined spaces. It sounds like it's pretty affordable too.

I just saw this on AA...I think you'll get a nice forearm/shoulder workout, but you could do that with regular handweights- or with a little creativity, some piping and a general understanding of welding and you could probably make your own for pennies on the dollar.

I know, I'm saying it, and we all know- I'm not doing that.  Besides, I prefer that, if someone happens to look into my window, I be seen swinging a sword, and not a handle.  Then I just look like I'm reliving various LARP fantasies.  lol

Since it's overseas, if we decide to get some, maybe we can put together a group order. I like the look of those MBlades "Swing" models.

89 GbP for a trainer like that? That's a little much.

That's a good deal more attractive...of the two, I'd rather have that mblade one.  If I were going to go that route.  That 'Indes' model looks like it might be some fun to bout with.

Not sure if anyone here is actually interested in these. I'm still tempted. I could use it. We could do a group order if anyone is interested. Otherwise I'm considering getting one by myself.

Anyone interested?

How good of a group rate do you think we can get?

I don't think they offer one, I'm just thinking it might be nice to save on the international shipping.

I may actually order one of the mblades. One of the guys at VAF said he handled one and thought it was pretty decent.

If anyone wants to save on shipping by combining orders, let me know. Otherwise I'll just order one for myself.

Yeah they are a little pricey. But I think for me, they're the only way I'm going to get any practice at home. I'm attempting to order a longsword AND a single-hand version.

Well that's true since you don't have a workable (or is it a work-out-able? ;)) backyard yet. :)

Finally got my "Swing". They redesigned them, so I had to wait til the new design was ready. It's actually surprisingly realistic in terms of weight and balance.
