Sir Nathan, as always your kit is so inspiring. I have to ask, are you wearing an armoured/padded hood/coif? I'm in the process of making one for myself right now, the protection given is so amazing, especially for my bad collar bone. Do they have precedence archaeologically? I know there are ton of them being sold and worn, I was wondering if there are period examples too? that would be sweet, it would save me time on making a padded three-piece coif just for my period impression for DOK and such.

Also, beautiful COP. My later period 13th century kit will have one for sure. And more than likely I'll even wear it with my earlier period and just "hide" it
