Now I wish I didnt get my regular steel maille. Oh well this would of costed me 1000 bucks anyway and I dont have the money for it, besides my stuff is more period being regular steel...

Yeah, stainless is super expensive. But I think if you can afford it, it's worth it to keep the maintenance down. And they put a finish on it that isn't too shiny, so it looks pretty much the same. But yeah, it's really expensive, so I don't recommend it for everyone.

There's a used hauberk going on AA for like $525...and it's sized for a 44 chest (me)...wish I could afford it.  But then, I've already got one so what am I talking about?  I just need to tailor it.

I think the one on AA is a haubergeon. I took a look at it a few days ago but decided I have enough to keep me busy through winter already and need to let someone else get it. And on that note - somebody buy it!
