At first my reaction was "WHAT???  WTF!"... But on further thought, I think it would be nearly impossible to find someone to fill Bruce Campbell's shoes. They're better off just having new characters... I suppose. :)

Or not even bothering to do a remake in the first place! Some movies are to classic to be sullied with remakes!  ;)

That's like re-making Camelot w/no Arthur...that just sounds dumb to me.  And Bruce Campbell isn't dead, why can't he be in it?  I've been watching him in Burn Notice...imho, he's still got the goods.

My point exactly!  Doesn't make sense to me what they're attempting to do...how do you resurrect such a beast w/out its heart?
