14th Century Plaque belts
« on: 2011-08-28, 09:55:07 »
http://www.anshelmarms.com/plaquebelt.html

I believe someone on this forum originally posted this link for these. I'm really tempted to order some of these to make a plaque belt.
Anyone have any additional sources for these plaques so I can do some comparison shopping?  :)

Excellent suggestion Sir Gerard! I'll drop them a line inquiring if they would be interested in selling me 20 - 25 of their griffin plaques! :)

Check out Raymond's Quiet Press as well.

RQP is good...I actually bought a couple sets of spurs from him, 11th and 13th C.

Well I heard back from Steel-Mastery and for 26 etched plaques plus shipping is $168.00 but that is without the leather belt or buckle. If I go with their plaques I would add them to a spare belt I have and solder a hook onto one plaque to secure the belt. Their price is comparable to a gold plated version of RQP belt however either offering is still a bit more than I want to invest at this time with the balance of my Albion Meyer coming due soon. I think I’ll postpone this addition until next faire season.  :-\

Thanks to you all who helped me do some excellent comparison shopping!  :)
