About the unit I reenact with is there. I plan to go next year for at least a week. I'm not sure about taking that much time off of work at one shot. I get enough vacation, I'm just not sure I want to pay the price when I would get back to work

I can take the time off, but I'd need everything- pavilion/tent, bedding, whatever else you need while you're out there. Something this big would need to be planned out otherwise I'll forget something that I'll totally need and can't get while I'm out there. I can see it unfolding now. lol

Well, if your credit card has the room for it, you can just show up and buy
everything
there. Garb, pavilion, shoes, belts, food, etc.

Have a gander, Sir Ulrich...this is the ultimate medievalists' paradise...as real as it is going to get on
this
side of the pond.

This year's Pennsic is going on right now, so you'd have to plan for next year at the earliest. It runs for 2 weeks in early August (usually starts in the last few days of July I think), and it's held a little north of Pittsburgh.

Well, admission is cheaper if you wait til the middle weekend (and thus it's half over already). But no, admission is for the entire event, not just days.
