Name of your Sword

<< < (6/31) > >>

SirNathanQ:
Ha! They can try to shoot us our of our "misery" all they want!
I'm still on the Armour side of this debate....
Hell, better that then the whole lances and subsequent horse trampling thing....

Sir William:
Truly, getting trampled will ruin any knight's day!  lol

SirNathanQ:
Yeah, just a bit.....
Especially if you manage to survive, having all the other knights laugh at the horse-shoe imprints on your armour.....

Sir William:
So, Nathan...have you named your sword or did I just miss that post?

SirNathanQ:
Yes, I have.
Von Gottesmund

It's German for "of God's Mouth"
It's a reference to the book of revelations, chapter 19

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
[13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
[14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
[15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
