Inexpensive bevor
« on: 2008-03-24, 01:15:40 »
This bevor is only $60. I've been needing one, so I ordered it.

It looks decent enough. I will likely get a mail standard in the long run, since it doesn't protect the back of the neck (and I've been planning on getting one anyway), but I'll post more when I actually get it.

I'm tempted to get one of those too.

Oh, your non-bevored sallet should be here very soon. I'm guessing today or tomorrow.

oh yes that one. i had forgotten. i got the coventry style, well it's on its way or backlogged too ehhehe. i'd love to see pictures of this as well as your other sallet you got from Ed.  we've got a few members of Lord Greys without helmets and I'd like to see the "all round" photos and get a nice reference of what you think before i get them to place an order.

Unfortunately, my camera has gone missing, which I'm none-to-thrilled about. :( So no sallet pictures from me, at least not until I find it or a replacement.

The bevor came in. It looks just like the picture on the website. It's nothing phenomenal, but its leaps and bounds better than the one that came with the GDFB sallet. I'm hoping it will work with my cuirass and pauldrons... though even if it does, I think I may stick with the open face celeta and the mail standard anyway. I think I've grown fond of that combination.

Excellent, I'll have have to see the bevor. I'd be tempted to get one to use with the sallet.
